FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your minerals and gemstones natural?

Yes. Tormik Gems specialises in natural mineral specimens, crystals, and gemstones. If a product has been polished, repaired, treated, stabilised, or mounted, we will disclose the information available to us in its description.

Are the photographs of the actual product?

Yes. Unless clearly stated otherwise, the photographs represent the actual specimen you will receive. Because each natural mineral is unique, we do not replace it with another piece after purchase.

Will the specimen look exactly the same in person?

We aim to represent every specimen as accurately as possible. However, colours can appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, and the device being used.

Where do your minerals come from?

Our primary focus is on minerals from Tormik Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, and other important localities across Pakistan. We may also offer specimens sourced from other countries. The known origin will be mentioned in the product description.

Do you provide measurements and weight?

Yes. Available weight and dimensions are included on the product page. Measurements are approximate and normally represent the specimen’s maximum dimensions.

What do terms such as “contact,” “inclusion,” or “natural fracture” mean?

A contact is an area where a crystal was naturally attached to another crystal or surrounding rock. An inclusion is material enclosed inside a crystal during its formation. Natural fractures are internal or external breaks produced during geological formation or extraction. These are common mineral characteristics and do not necessarily mean that a specimen is damaged.

Can I request more photographs or a video?

Certainly. Contact us with the product name or link, and we can provide additional photographs or a video when available.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we accept orders from international customers. Delivery availability, shipping cost, and transit time depend on the destination, parcel size, value, and courier service.

How will my specimen be packed?

Minerals are delicate, so every order is packed carefully using protective wrapping, cushioning, and a suitable outer box. Larger or especially fragile specimens may require customised packaging.

Will I have to pay customs duties?

International customers may be responsible for import duties, taxes, customs charges, or handling fees imposed by their country. These charges are not generally included in the product or shipping price.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time varies by destination and courier. Once an order is dispatched, tracking information will be provided whenever the selected shipping service supports tracking.

What payment methods do you accept?

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout. For custom, wholesale, or high-value orders, contact us to discuss suitable payment arrangements.

Can I reserve a specimen?

A temporary reservation may be possible for selected specimens. Reservations are confirmed only after approval from our team and may require a deposit.

Do you accept returns?

Return eligibility is governed by our Refund and Returns Policy. Please review that policy before ordering and contact us promptly if your item arrives damaged or differs significantly from its description.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

Photograph the outer packaging, shipping label, internal packaging, and damaged item immediately. Contact us as soon as possible and keep all packaging until the issue has been reviewed.

Do you offer wholesale minerals?

Yes. Wholesale opportunities may be available for mineral dealers, crystal shops, jewellery businesses, interior designers, and resellers. Contact us with the minerals, quantities, sizes, and budget you require.

Can you find a specific mineral for me?

Yes. Use our Custom Order service and share the mineral name, preferred locality, size, quality, budget, and any other requirements. We will check our network and contact you if suitable options become available.
